Fun Facts

1. Kearney Public Schools has well over 800,000 square feet of space and 112 acres of land within the district...not including our 5 new elementary schools.

2. KHS has 236,000 square feet...not including our 3 new elementary schools.

3. 52 people work in the Buildings and Grounds Department.

4. The Whittier Learning Resource Center is the oldest building in the district, being built in 1920.

5. Central Elementary, built in 1927 is the oldest school in the district.

6. Sunrise Middle School, our newest building, was built in 1996.
